11th Hour Service Announced as a Finalist for the 2020-2021 Moxie Award

Falls Church, VA. – Tuesday, March 16th – VERASOLVE announces 11th Hour Service as a finalist for the Moxie Award, a program that is designed to honor companies across industries that aren’t afraid to take risks, do things differently and show their Moxie. This award recognizes organizations for having demonstrated boldness and innovation as an integral part of their growth strategy. These outstanding organizations not only help make the D.C. metro area a great place to do business but also an incredible place to live, thrive, and play. Well known organizations like Guidehouse, CLA, and ManTech, Inc. are all organizations that have been apart of this well known industry award.

11th Hour Service is pleased to have been named a finalist in the 2021 Moxie Award, said 11th Hour Service Marketing & People and Experience Manager Josh Vineyard. Although the environment of work is evolving, and remaining innovative is often focused around business lines and technologies like RPA and A.I., one of our primary focuses at 11th Hour Service is being innovative with our approach in serving our employees. It has become second nature for 11th Hour Service and its team, and we believe being a finalist for the Moxie Award shows our commitment to our motto “People-Centric, Client-Focused, Results-Driven.” COVID-19 has only amplified our commitment to remaining innovative and authentic in our approach with how we lead our organization and it’s people.”

2020 was a tumultuous year, filled with fear and uncertainty due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, which broke out in early January. Over a few short months, unemployment spiked and the reality sunk in that this crisis would not be resolved overnight, leaving many employees of an extensive array of industries unsure how this would impact their work and personal lives. Early February 2020, as the 11th Hour Service Headquarters office geared up for what it would take to move its workforce remote, the 11th Hour Service leadership team began working on putting a plan in place to ensure the companies teams and families were comforted, taken care of, and well informed on what 11th Hour Service would due to support its employees during the Pandemic.

A few things 11th Hour Service did:

  • Sent out Covid care packages;
  • Handed out DoorDash gift cards with a value of $75 to do virtual dinners to keep teams engaged and feeling a part of;
  • Setup multiple live virtual concerts; Inviting family, friends and industry peers;
  • Introduced virtual workout programs to support wellness; and
  • Kicked off a program where local teachers in Virginia taught classes to children to help keep education alive and give 11th Hour Service parents the much needed break as they took on the responsibility of being parents, employees, and teachers.

11th Hour Service CEO, and Managing Partner, Alin Popescu states – “There is nothing more important to me than serving others and fostering a culture that people WANT to be a part of. I want to congratulate our team for enabling us to be recognized among the boldest and most innovative organizations in the D.C. metro community,”
