The Association of Government Accountants (AGA) and the Association for Federal Enterprise Risk Management (AFERM) help the second annual enterprise risk management (ERM) workshop with federal government professionals. This workshop provided an opportunity for over 150 professionals to hear ERM thought leadership from senior government leaders and discuss with their colleagues how ERM can, and is, driving organizational value and enhancing performance. The workshop focused on three key areas:
1. Enhacing ERM capacity over time
2. Integrating ERM with strategy and performance
3. ERM and cybersecurity.

AGA and the Association for Federal Enterprise Risk Management (AFERM) hosted a workshop for more than 150 federal professionals interested in enterprise risk management (ERM). The purpose of the workshop was to provide a forum for federal ERM professionals to share progress and best practices related to using ERM to drive organizational value. The workshop focused on providing an overview and small group discussion about three critical aspects of ERM:
1. ERM implementation and developing the agency risk profile;
2. the relationship between ERN and internal controls ; and
3. using ERM to enable better risk management and decision making within the agency.

The AGA ERM and Internal Control Forum (forum) brought together leaders from the federal government and private sector risk management and internal control communities. The objective of the forum was to discuss the upcoming policy update to Office of Management and Budget’s (OMB’s) Circular A-123, which will provide guidance on enterprise risk management (ERM) at the federal agency level.
Forum on Federal Financial Reporting

AGA’s Forum on Financial Reporting (forum) centered around follow-ups to the first recommendation, five years later, as the Chief Financial Officers (CFO) Act is in its 25th year.
The forum brought leaders from the federal financial management community together to conduct an open discussion on participants’ views on the current state of federal financial reporting, including objectives and ways in which the reporting model might be updated to provide the most beneficial information to users.
