Job Summary: The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides advanced clinical care to patients within a variety of healthcare settings. The NP performs comprehensive assessments, diagnoses and treats acute and chronic conditions, and develops and implements individualized treatment plans. The role involves collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment:
- Conduct thorough physical exams and health histories.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests and screenings.
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Diagnosis and Treatment:
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses and conditions.
- Prescribe medications and other treatments within scope of practice.
- Provide patient education on disease prevention, treatment plans, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Clinical Procedures:
- Perform or assist with various medical procedures and interventions.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Coordinate patient care and refer patients to specialists or other services as needed.
- Patient and Family Support:
- Provide counseling and support to patients and their families.
- Address patient concerns and answer questions regarding their care and treatment.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Ensure adherence to healthcare protocols and guidelines.
- Professional Development:
- Stay current with advances in medical practice and continuing education requirements.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and maintain certification.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program.
- Certification: National certification as a Nurse Practitioner (e.g., FNP-BC, ACNP-BC) from a recognized certifying body.
- Licensure: Current state licensure in California as a Nurse Practitioner. Active DEA license
- Experience: 2+ years of clinical experience in a similar role.
- Language: Korean/English Bilingual
- Skills: Strong clinical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of healthcare procedures, pharmacology, and patient care practices.
Working Conditions:
Medical Group- Monday thru Friday 8:30 to 5pm
Salary Range/Benefits: $120,000 to $180,000 with full benefits package
