Maternal/Neonatal (NICU) Services Manager  – relocation allowance offered!

Full Time (Days)

JOB SUMMARY

Promotes and restores patients’ health by developing day-to-day management and long-term planning of Maternal and Neonatal Designation Programs for the Abilene market; directing and developing staff; demonstrating fiscal responsibility; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary professional staff; ensuring an environment conducive to patient and family centered care; initiating or maintaining compliance with regulatory and designation requirements and oversight of corresponding staff and provider education.

In collaboration with service line leaders, responsible for the development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of patient care provided within the service line. Provides oversight of data collection, policy implementation, and designation survey process, including oversight, management, and maintenance of QAPI program, State of Texas designation requirements, and corresponding regulatory requirements.

Collaborates with the regional and community partners to provide outreach throughout the Perinatal Care Region (PCR), by providing objective feedback on transferred patient outcomes, providing educational resources to referring facilities, and planning and facilitating regular PCR meetings.

Initiates and maintains applicable membership to professional organizations and education pertinent to the care provided and the Texas Maternal and Neonatal Designation requirements in order to maintain compliance with changes in regulatory requirements.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Minimum Work Experience

  • 2 years of acute care in L&D and 2 years of NICU preferred

Required Licenses/Certifications

  • Current Texas RN license
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NRP

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Compile, analyze, and present reports
  • Develop, review, revise, and evaluate applicable policies, procedures, and job guides
  • Compose letters/memoranda
  • Coordinate meetings, develop agendas, and perform loop closure
  • Develop office procedures
  • Interview for all department subordinate positions
  • Proven written and editing skills
  • Research information, data, and regulatory requirements; incorporate evidence-based practice
  • Use computerized spreadsheets to conduct analysis
  • Strong leadership skills and growth potential
  • Adjunct patient care on unit as needed
  • Handle confidential information

Compensation: $40.50 to 50.66/hr with Relocation allowance
