Industrial Engineer

Role Title: Industrial Engineer


Location: Honolulu, HI (2-3 days onsite per week)


Travel: 1 week every other month to Guam, Japan, CA or WA


Required Skills:

  • US Citizenship, ability to obtain an active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in an engineering or STEM related field.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Candidates should have at least one year of experience working with industrial control systems.


Preferred Skills: 

  • Security+ certification
  • Experience with Navy facility related control system


Day-to-day Responsibilities: Provide essential support to the Program Management Office (PMO), focusing on the execution of NAVFAC’s Smart Grid Program within the PAC AOR. This position involves a strong understanding of Facility-Related Control Systems (FRCS), specifically, Building Control Systems, Utility Control Systems, and Advanced Metering.


Expected Deliverables:

  • Support coordination and utilization of the FRCS Sustainment Cost tool
  • Coordinate FRCS Training Scenarios
  • Ad-Hoc FRCS deliverables at the direction of On-Site Government Staff
  • Programmatic oversight of FRCS Standardization and FRCS Inventory efforts
  • Resourcing gap analysis on Vendor support contracts for FRCS
  • Support identifying and documenting labor/non-labor shortfalls
  • Provide input to FRCS related taskers and coordinate/consolidation responses
  • Track critical FRCS for each installation in the PAC are of operation
  • Develop KPIs and other metrics for Energy and FRCS Programs


Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in an engineering or STEM related field
